The 67 year old navigation lock, Santee Cooper's Pinopolis Lock on Lake Moultrie, is located at the Jefferies Hydroelectric Station near Monks Corner. The lock has a single lift of 75 feet and is 180 feet long and 60 feet wide, takes passing vessels from Lake Moultrie to tide level in the Tailrace Canal.

Railroad bridge crossing the Cooper River at Strawberry is tended from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. year round. The bridge has a 10’ clearance and if you need to have it opened you must notify the attendant.
